一、背景

在生产环境中,mysql一般会配备主从库,以实现数据备份、服务容灾、读写分离等需要。使用FlinkCdc进行mysql数据入湖时,就不可避免地要和主从库打交道。FlinkCDC对mysql主从库的切换支撑到什么程度、数据库需要怎么配置、同步程序要怎么配合操作和开发,是FlinkCDC投入生产应用前必验项目。
本文记录了使用FlinkCDC进行Mysql主从数据同步的主要验证过程,以为后鉴。

二、验证前环境准备

2.1 FlinkCDC+Hudi环境准备

FlinkCDC+Hudi环境准备具体过程参见 FlinkCDC-Hudi:Mysql数据实时入湖全攻略一:初试风云,本文不再赘述。

2.2 Mysql主从库环境准备

准备Mysql主从库各一台。
主库:192.168.2.100
从库1:192.168.2.101
从库2:192.168.2.102

*mysql简易安装命令如下:

2.2 主从库配置

mysql安装完成后,进行主从库配置。mysql的默认配置文件在/etc/mysql/my.cnf。主从库相应配置如下。
注意:这里仅提供了实现主从库的最简配置,仅供测试使用。生产环境切勿直接应用些配置。

2.2.1 主库配置

2.2.2 从库安装与配置

2.2.3 从库数据初始化

新安装的主从库由于还没有数据,不需要进行从库数据初始化。
如果是已存在主库,然后新增从库,则需要进行数据初始化。
1、在主库中给要同步的数据库加锁

mysql> use flink_cdc;
mysql> flush tables with read lock; 

2、在主库dump所有数据

mysqldump -uroot -proot_password flink_cdc> flink_cdc.sql

3、在第2步完成数据dump之后,释放锁

mysql> unlock tables;

4、在从库导入所有数据

mysql> source /path/flink_cdc.sql;

2.2.4 主库授权

#创建slave账号user_test,密码user_test_password
mysql> grant select,replication slave,replication client on *.* to 'user_test'@'%' identified by 'user_test_password';
#更新数据库权限

show slave status中,Slave_IO_Running及Slave_SQL_Running进程必须是Yes状态,才是正常开启了同步。异常情况 Last_IO_Errno,Last_IO_Error, Last_SQL_Errno,Last_SQL_Error会有相应的提示。
设置完成后可以在主库增删数据,在从库验证同步状态。这里便不再展开。

三、FlinkCDC从库同步入湖验证

3.1 FlinkCDC-Hudi运行环境

这里假定读者已经搭建好FlinkCDC+Hudi环境,本文操作只记录验证FlinkCDC同步mysql主从数据的必要步骤。

3.1.1 mysql测试表准备

在主库中创建测试表1

3.1.2 使用FlinkSql启动同步作业

3.1.2.1 启动FlinkSql

3.2 模拟从库数据同步异常

目前我们搭建的环境是一主二从,这里验证从一异常,切换到从二。当然也可以切到主,切换验证的流程是一样的。但一般生产环境不会直接从主库同步数据。

3.2.1 模拟从库异常

这里我们直接停掉从库1,模拟从库宕机。在从库1中关掉mysql。

service mysql stop

这时flink作业会挂掉。

查看flink作业的异常记录,可以观察到两种异常。
一种是服务连接超时,没有收到mysql服务端的响应。

另一种是Flink作业不断重启产生的One or more fetchers have encountered exception。由于flinkcdc通过模拟slave的行为来同步binlog,每个slave都会有一个serverid(在flinksql mysql表的定义中配置,‘server-id’=‘5600-5604’),作业重启时会使用相同的serverid,当重启flink作业的间隔小于flink与mysql连接的超时时长会,会报这个异常。

这两个异常的详细异常栈信息如下:

3.2.2 人为制造从库状态同步不一致

这时持续对主库写入多条数据,这样两个从库的状态就会出现不一致。
a. 通过show slave status\G查看从库已从主库同步的数据点位。

b. 这里只能查询从库二的状态,因为从库一挂了。但我们通过两个从库生成的binlog文件来比较同步的状态。可以简单地查看binlog文件的修改时间比较同步差异。
查询mysql数据保存的目录:

从库1的mysql-bin.000039在10:37已经停止更新,而从库二的mysql-bin.000003持续在更新。
通过mysqlbinlog来读取文件比较差异。笔者这里从库一远早于从库二的搭建,所以从库一的binlog文件序号更大。
从库一:

3.3 FlinkCDC mysql高可用第一次验证

3.3.1 从作业checkpoint信息中获取最后一次的checkpoint信息

3.3.2 切换到重库2

把mysql_test_1的hostname切为从库2。

3.1.3 通过checkpoint重启

这时候在flink web ui上查看新启动的作业,发现作业重启是失败的。查看异常栈,提示binlog的文件已经不存在,无法正常启动作业。

 The connector is trying to read binlog starting at Struct{version=1.5.4.Final,connector=mysql,name=mysql_binlog_source,ts_ms=1644982889087,db=,server_id=0,file=mysql-bin.000039,pos=530,row=0}, but this is no longer available on the server. Reconfigure the connector to use a snapshot when needed.

异常信息里提示的“file=mysql-bin.000039,pos=530”实际上是从库一生成的binlog文件与flinkcdc已经同步到的点位。这是checkpoint时保存下来的同步状态。
而我们在前面的Binlog文件分析中知道,从库二的最新Binlog是mysql-bin.000003。这样我们就发现从库一和从库二的binlog文件不一致,是无法直接从checkpoint中进行主从切换的。

3.4 FlinkCDC mysql高可用第二次验证

根据最新的FlinkCDC mysql connector官方文档,mysqlcdc是支持高可用的。为什么会验证失败呢?我们深挖官方文档发现,要实现高可用,mysql要开启gtid。

3.4.1 GTID简介

3.4.1.1 GTID是什么

Gtid是mysql在5.7引入的新特征,用于解决使用binlog - potition机制进行主从同步时缺憾:就像我们前面验证的一样,无法应对高可用!

GTID (Global Transaction ID)是全局事务ID,由主库上生成的与事务绑定的唯一标识,这个标识不仅在主库上是唯一的,在MySQL集群内也是唯一的。
GTID由 server_uuid:transaction_id组成。server_uuid是mysql实例的uuid,transaction_id代表该实例上执行的事务数量,随事务执行的数量自增。

3.4.1.2 GTID示例

下面是一个gtid示例:

d667b1cd-778a-11ec-aa60-6c92bf64e18c:1-61169

其中d667b1cd-778a-11ec-aa60-6c92bf64e18c是服务uuid,1-61169代码该实例执行了执行为id从1到61169的61169个事务。

3.4.1.3 GTID的寻址方式

开启gtid后,会在binlog文件头部加上前一个binlog文件的gtid范围,寻址时通过比较gtid的范围,确认所要同步的gtid所在binlog的位置。示意如下:

mysql-binlog.00003 previous-gtids:101-200

寻找gtid=50,会从最新的binlog文件mysql-binlog.00003读取previous-gtids:101-200,比较50与101-200,确认50比101小,则往前两个文件查找,即从mysql-binlog.00001查找。

下面我们踏上gtid高可用验证之路。

3.4.2 mysql开启gtid

对应mysql的配置文件(/etc/msyql/my.cnf)里添加以下配置:
主库配置:

gtid_mode = on
enforce_gtid_consistency = on

从库配置:

gtid_mode = on
enforce_gtid_consistency = on
log-slave-updates = 1

修改完配置后,重启mysql服务:

service mysql restart

通过mysql-cli连接从库,show slave status\G查看从库slave的同步状态。
从库一模拟异常时与主库有同步延迟。开启gtid和没开启gtid的binlog解析是不一样的。这时从库一会显示Slave_IO_Running=No,Last_IO_Error提示解析失败。

Slave_IO_Running: No
Slave_SQL_Running: Yes

这时可以回滚主从库的配置,重启从库一,让从库一在关闭gtid_mode完成同步后,再更新配置。
如果在更新配置过程中,主从库gtid_mode不是同样的状态,会报以下错误。
将状态修改为同一样状态即可。

Slave_IO_Running: No
Slave_SQL_Running: Yes
Last_IO_Error: The replication receiver thread cannot start because the master has GTID_MODE = ON and this server has GTID_MODE = OFF.

顺利开启gtid mode之后,每次更新数据语句执行时都会生成一个gtid。我们可以通过show master/slave status查看gtid的同步状态。
master状态:

3.4.3 重启作业生成含gtid的checkpoint

将mysql_test_1的Host设置为从库一,让作业从从库一生成的checkpoint中恢复。作业成功运行后kill掉从库一,这时作业会报错,现象与前述过程一致,不再赘述。

注意:
线上环境中,如果故障没有恢复时更多的是从新的从库中同步。

3.4.4 从含gtid的checkpoint中恢复

我们从web ui中拿到含有gtid的checkpoint进行作业重启,发现依然是报binlog文件异常。

3.4.5 异常源码分析

是gtid没有生效?查看taskmanager的日志,checkpoint中已经包含gtid信息,也传递给了SourceReaderBase。

再查异常栈里的代码, StatefulTaskContext里loadStartingOffsetState判断isBinlogAvailable,binlog不可用就抛异常。

3.4.6 gtid bugfix

前面在3.4.1.3讲述了Gtid的寻址方式,mysql高可以模式下,切换主库时,slave会根据已同步到的gtid,对比master binlog文件的previous gtidset,最终确认要从新master的哪个binlog文件开始同步。而源码根本没有这样一个寻址步骤。

所以很确认的是,flinkcdc bug了。上github提bug去。gtid没有生效

根据githup上的反馈,有位兄弟21年年底已经发现了这个bug,并在一月份提交了bugfix[mysql] update check gtid set #761。但目前的修改代码还没有合入master分支。

查看对方修改的代码,在isBinlogAvailable增加了checkGtidSet

checkGtidSet里做了以下几件事:
1、查询了master的gtidset–availableGtidStr ,
2、和checkpoint的gtidset对比,计算出需要同步的gtid范围gtidSetToReplicate。
3、查询是否清除过gtid–purgedGtidSet,和gtidSetToReplicate对比计算出没有清除的范围。确认没有清除过,就从checkpoint中续点同步,否则重新开始全量同步。

3.4.7 合并bugfix代码,验证高可用

从gitbub中下载代码(https://github.com/ververica/flink-cdc-connectors.git),将bugfix–gtid没有生效的代码修改入master,编译打包,更新到flink环境中,从走上述验证过程, 观察到:
1、切换主从时,没有再报binlog文件找不到异常。
2、作业从checkpoint中开始同步,而不是全量。
现象表明,mysqlcdc高可用切换成功。

我们查看运行日志,进一步验证:
1、获取初始gtids=d667b1cd-778a-11ec-aa60-6c92bf64e18c:1-61282
2、确认MySQL 当前GTIDset d667b1cd-778a-11ec-aa60-6c92bf64e18c:1-61290 包含初始 GTID set d667b1cd-778a-11ec-aa60-6c92bf64e18c:1-61282。
3、计算可同步的GTID set d667b1cd-778a-11ec-aa60-6c92bf64e18c:61283-61290。
4、设置同步起点开始同步。

四、总结

至此,能过三轮验证,确认flinkcdc可以支持mysql高可用。需要条件是:
1、mysql服务开启gtid_mode
2、目前官方发布的版本(2.2-SNAPSHOT)存在bug,不可以直接支持高可用。需要人工合并bugfix的代码,自行编译后才可以正常使用。
